The Chianti Classico Olive Oil olives are grown in Castelnuovo Berardenga, Castellina and Gaiole in Chianti . The specific olive varieties for this blend are Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo. The color of this oil will be green. The aroma is fruity but with aromatic notes of artichoke. The flavor is medium with a a persistent pungency and a medium bitterness.
We recommend pairing this olive oil with more hearty foods such as: beef carpaccio, porcini mushrooms, grilled radicchio, red meat and mature cheeses.
